Water is a representation of cleansing, purification, healing, and is a source of life. Healing and life are things that marginalized femme bodies have constantly been denied. The expanse and vastness of the water body signifies the abundance and endless possibilities that come with experiencing the fullness of restoration, healing and life, as well as the power that comes with doing so freely.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Mirrors, are mediums which reflect light and images when looked at, they signify self-conceptualization. This symbolizes how all marginalized black femme people, who do not fall under the stereotype of what femme bodies should be or look like, carry their own truth in the way the conceptualize themselves and their different identities.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Rays of light symbolize a new beginning and an awakening. A period is coming, when black trans-women, fat black women, disabled black women and all black women who do not fit in neatly in society’s expectations will be heard and seen, loud and clear.
