I will be handing out this <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1lDW_L2-G_o-gbqn0NybisjAHkpLMygXueQIWgs3n1mE\/edit?usp=sharing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">peer review rubric,<\/a> which is among the <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.smith.edu\/antarc135-fa24\/?p=818\">Assignment 1<\/a> files on the website. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Some students may bring an <strong>outline<\/strong>, which I imagine will include ideas\/data to add to report, but not in full text. Some students may bring a <strong>draft of the text <\/strong>for review. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Remember that <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1oXmPQCJH3T8FpsQ2Kbb5tnCYI6C_2QJUEyc7ED2CVtc\/edit?usp=sharing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">page 3 of the assignment<\/a> provides a report template&#8211; use that to get started with your outline. If you fill out all those bullet points&#8211; both from your research and your site visit&#8211; you will be on your way to getting this written and covering all the important information required. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How will I share my draft with you?   <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>We will take the first 5 minutes of class for everyone to share their draft with me&#8211; this may be emailing an attached file or uploading a URL to share a Google Document. More info in class. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please do not skip class because you are worried you have not gotten enough of your draft completed&#8211; this will be a helpful exercise no matter how far along you are in the project (and not one to miss&#8230; unless you are sick, of course!)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What if I am doing a peer swap with a partner? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Please bring a laptop or tablet you can swap with your partner. You can either make comments on a paper rubric (I will bring them) or directly into their document; you can discuss this as a pair. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What if I want to do an anonymous peer review? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bring a printed draft of your site report draft to class&#8211; ideally double spaced if text and single spaced for an outline&#8211; and include the last 4 numbers of your student ID on the first page. There is a small-ish group of students who are doing the anonymous review, so I will manage passing out the drafts, collecting them briefly, and then handing them back to the author. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What else should I know or do? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Citations&#8211; both in-text and in the bibliography&#8211; are sometimes challenging in a new discipline of study. Please bring your sources and any questions you have. We will do some practice citations towards the end of class. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Class: <\/strong>Peer review &amp; discussion.
