Statement:
A rising junior at Smith College, Tali has spent the better part of this unusual Spring 2020 semester reflecting on their teenagehood. Their recent exploration of digital media naturally led to using mixed media to cope with the current harrowing world climate. Their work in “Sundays in Isolation” considers the fraught yet adhesive qualities of memory in a path to personhood, particularly in relation to the importance of utilizing creativity and imagination to breed hope within such isolating times.
