A blackout poem made from a page of Leaves of Grass by Walt Whitman. Words are "blacked out" by squiggles in pen, and cut-out cursive text containing lyrics from "Once in a Lifetime" by the Talking Heads is attached to the right side of the page, combining with the text on the paper.

Same as it ever was,

me my my
I too I too
I sound    Same as it ever was
me,
my likeness
me
I depart I shake I effuse  Same as it ever was
I bequeath  Same as it ever was,   I love,
you want me under your boot-soles.
You know what I mean,
But I shall
filter your blood.   And you may ask yourself,
Fail  “Am I right? Am I wrong?”
Miss  “My God! What have I done?”
stop
“Where does that highway go to?”
