Emily Dashes ·

an emerald ghost

A blackout poem made from a page of poetry by Emily Dickinson. Most of the words are covered by artwork and the remaining words are circled in white. The background, drawn in colored pencil, has a dark blue starry sky, a swirl of green, and light blue water pouring out of a paper goblet pasted on the page. A humanlike figure made out of paper with a candle on their head is also on the page, as well as a brown pattern lining the bottom of the page with a paper flower on top of it.

an emerald ghost
whirled
And the world
sewed a ruff in
a pool of rain
