A Man of Affairs
A man of affairs whose life is spent in doing a man’s work
in a man’s way is
thrilled at the though of putting on
“glad” clothes and going out
to a “pink” tea or a ball
what many successful men to not realize is that
an ass in public
whether at a machine bench, an accountant’s
desk, or at gold
makes him
awkward
and
so
he
sooner or later does
feel the need of
“soft”
men
and
the
strong, manly, American!
this same man
will be so pleased with himself
as “soft” or “effemi-
nate,” because he
who
was completely a gentleman
may have
the essence of
a “rough, uneducated” man
and
some Men of Might
upon
him
