Do I dare

This is a blackout poem using TS Eliot's work as base text. The image of an abstract tangle of limbs on a red background.

By Katie Laughlin

women come

rubs its back

rubs its muzzle

Licked its tongue

Lingered

in drains

it was a soft

rubbing its back

There will be time, time

prepare a face

murder and create,

And time

Time time

time a hundred incisions

And for a hundred visions and revisions,

Before the taking

women go

Time turn back and descend

Do I dare
