one circumstance against me,
I am
placed
on earth,
to destroy

hope. I beg
I must be condemned,

witnesses were called,
fear and hatred
rendered them
to fail
violently
“I am,” the unhappy child
have lived

to perish
I wish to be allowed to speak,
I am the accused.
