PREFACE*

This image shows a blackout poetry piece with a header reading "PREFACE*", created on a page of Mary Shelley’s “Frankenstein”. The page is predominantly covered with a spliced image of a man levitating a woman. The original text behind this cut-up image is mostly obscured with dark red marker, with select words and phrases left visible, creating a new poetic message against the collaged background.
