The Catalog of Barons

The Catalog of Barons team is working with a 12th century register of emergency military obligations under Roger II in Southern Italy. With only small parts of the 1400 entry document has been translated into English, the team is creating a searchable internet database of the land holders, fiefs, and their obligations to aid in future research. This database will eventually show familial and lord-vassal relationships and through data visualization from the ground up!
