Mosaic Mirrors and Mosaic Orb
Jeannette Landrie has worked as a Learning Specialist in the Office of Disability Services for 6 years. Outside of work, she feels a strong need to create and loves making a variety of things, including jewelry, quilts, photos and mosaics.
In particular, Jeannette loves making mosaics using ceramic tiles and broken shards of pottery. She has been creating mosaics for about 20 years, at one time taking classes at the The Worcester Art Museum. She finds it very therapeutic to create a new whole object out of broken pieces of other objects.
Jeannette especially loves to create art with her two daughters. She often creates beautiful pieces she can use in her other passion: her garden. These pieces include plant pots and decorative orbs. She has even used mosaics to repair things, like her broken birdbath.
