Mӧbius Storm is a piece that explores the non-linear nature of life and recovery, highs and lows knit together rather than on opposite ends of the spectrum. It was created in part to complete Catherine Davis’s bachelors in dance, but also as an exhalation after a year of holding one’s breath. The concert would not have been made possible without the support and advisement of Angie Hauser, and the Sharonjean Moser Leeds Endowment, a generous fund created by Sharonjean (Smith College ’67) and Richard Leeds for the Smith Department of Dance.

First, I want to thank my family. I might not be the best at remembering to call, but I miss you all the time and couldn’t have made it this far without your unconditional love and unwavering support. Mom, Dad, and Drew especially, you are my home and that will never change. I also want to thank my friends, new and old. You have always shown me kindness and given me the strength to keep going, I treasure the time we’ve spent together even if we spent it very far apart. Thank you to the Brookside family for keeping me sane last fall, Jody and Dalia for cheering me on no matter what, Indigo for your long distance love and loyalty, and Sessions House for being the best kind of people to have at my side. Finally I’d like to thank my dancers for their commitment to this piece. Mӧbius existence has become a deeply personal project and I’m honored to have shared its process with you. I hope you had as much fun making it as I did, and that you’re proud to perform what we’ve made.
