Working with Special Collections, students in HST290 explored the college archives to examine the history of Smith College from multiple perspectives. Students wrote and produced podcasts about their research including on individual students, faculty, and campus traditions.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Students in GER350 explored how to access and experience German media online including newspapers, television, radio podcast and other media. Students then developed short-form digital narratives on themes including the representation of education, AI, and migration.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Students in FRN\/ITL\/POR\/SPN299, explored the resources for language learning in Neilson Library to develop multimedia online resources for language instruction in Italian, Portuguese, French, and Spanish. Students collaborated on the design of a resource website and created multimedia learning resources for different languages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students in FRN120 worked with Special Collections to explore historical correspondence by Smith College students in the study abroad program in Paris, which is soon celebrating its 100th anniversary. Students used these materials to write and produce digital narratives about the lives of students in the past.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Partnering with the Spatial Analysis Lab and LRT, students in ANT 215 reconsidered practices of Western cartography and colonial spatial logics through the lenses of decoloniality, transnational feminism, and indigeneity. Students created maps and other visualizations to consider different vantage points from which spatial knowledge emerges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students in EAL273 explored modern Korean history from women\u2019s perspectives and representation of women in Korean media. For their final projects, students created digital narratives, visualizations, photo essays, and digital magazines.<\/p>\n<\/div>
