About Us

Duct Tape Productions was founded in 2002 by Zoe Block '05 and Daryn Sirota '05. In a cabaret style performance to raise money for Broadway Cares Fights Aids called A Little Night of Broadway, Zoe met Daryn and together they realized the need for a space on campus where students could share their love of musical theatre. By founding DTP, Zoe and Daryn created the first student theatre organization at Smith College.

Over the past 20 years, Duct Tape Productions has remained committed to providing students an opportunity to participate in all things musical theater. Each semester DTP puts on a new show, chosen by our executive board the following spring. Past musicals range from Once Upon a Mattress to Chicago. Members of DTP can be involved in all aspects of the productions, from acting to directing to technical work. Five-college students and community members are welcome to audition.
