It is typical of the prewar and war period in Germany in that the large sections on the left evaluate the student\u2019s behavior and personal traits. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Young Kathy, whose report card this is, received a \u201cvery good\u201d (the highest grade) in \u201cBehavior\u201d. She only received a \u201cgood\u201d (equivalent of a \u201cB\u201d) for \u201cDiligence and Attention in Class\u201d. She once again excelled, however, in the category \u201cOrderliness\u201d with a \u201cvery good\u201d and missed only 1 day of school. The subjects she took in first grade are listed on the right: Religion, German, Composition, Reading, Literature, Handwriting, Math, History, Geography, the Study of Nature, French, Drawing, Singing, Crafts and Physical Education.
