Organization Description

Mission: Homework House provides free tutoring and mentoring for children who are at-risk for academic failure and dropping out of school. We give children a loving and caring environment in which to improve their skills in reading and math and help them improve their literacy skills so they can become productive members of our community. We also work towards rekindling their interest in learning and self-improvement. Services are provided to school-age children without regard to race, religion, ethnicity, or gender.

Goals: Our goal is to assist students enrolled in 1st though 8th grade with homework completion and improvement of reading and math skills. We also aim to build a positive and supportive relationship that will engage and motivate students to work towards improvement of ability, effort, attitude about school, and academic achievement.
