It talks about the history and surrounding sights of the mountain, and a guide to hike the mountain. The part explaining the formation of the mountain was interesting. Fuji had several small mountains under it which formed in early periods due to volcano eruptions. Then, the book also introduces the recent eruptions, one happened in 800 and one in 1707.
