Stuck on something strange? Google it! When you google a question, like “how to add a custom header in WordPress Cubic” make sure to include the theme you are using (in this case, Cubic). Tutorials can be theme-specific.
Finding Free-to-Use Images
If you can find an image that you like and you know for sure is free to use – that is always the best way to go. Some suggestions for finding these:
Embedding Videos
Embed Streaming Video.
You can automatically embed videos from YouTube, Vimeo, and many other sources just by posting the link. How to embed from YouTube or Vimeo
-
-
- Go to your video on YouTube or Vimeo (Ignore all the buttons asking you to get an embed code)
- Copy the URL of the video from the browser address bar.
- Go to the post where you want to add the video.
- Paste the URL into its own line in the editor.
-
Embed your own Video.
There are a couple of ways to embed your own video:
-
-
- Upload it to YouTube, Vimeo, or another service first. Then use the instructions above.
- Use the H5P iframe embedder. When using H5P, copy the URL of the video from the browser address bar, and replace the “watch” part of the URL for “embed” before the video ID. For example:
URL copied: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7cA_Q6IOfD8
URL used for H5P: https://www.youtube.com/embed/7cA_Q6IOfD8
-
Create an Accordion with H5P
The following video shows an example on how to create an accordion on H5P. Accordions are useful when including a transcript or references. (Video is also hosted in Panopto. Login required).
