Making Jane

Ellie Frisch

“Making Jane” is a podcast about the Jane Collective, a group of women working underground in Chicago in the 1960’s and 70’s to provide safe illegal abortions. In this podcast the host, Ellie Frisch, interviews Heather Booth who founded the Janes. They speak about the creation of the underground abortion network, its work, and the importance of continuing similar work today. The story of the Janes is even more pertinent in today’s post Roe world, where the autonomy of women and all people with Uteruses is in grave danger. By listening we can all learn from the story of the Janes and be empowered to fight for reproductive justice today.
