For several centuries, healthcare has been sculpted by and for men. Consequently, women have notoriously struggled for representation and recognition in research and medicine. One of the more notable disparities that women endure is the lack of acknowledgement and treatment for pain they experience from disease, illness, labor, or medical procedures. In this podcast, I take a look at the past to learn how this predicament was formed while covering activists who have challenged it along the way.
