The Smith College Club of Great Britain<\/a> (SCCGB) brings together alums living across the UK, and warmly welcomes those in Ireland to join our events. With a community of about 450 alums in the region, SCCGB hosts a variety of gatherings throughout the year. One of the longstanding traditions is the annual Winter Dinner in February.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2026’s Winter Dinner guest speaker was Meridians<\/em> Editor and Professor of Sociology Ginetta Candelario ’90, whose talk was titled “From Gatekeeping to Gate Opening: How the Meridians<\/em> Project has Contributed to Transforming the Academy and Higher Education.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
