We invite promising young professionals to join our Museum Education Fellowship Program. As an Education Fellow, you will gain in-depth fieldwork experience by designing, facilitating, and teaching programs that address the needs of adult, school, and youth and family audiences. Fellows participate in hands-on workshops and reading discussions, and conduct qualitative research throughout the year to learn about museum education theory and practice. Ongoing professional development provided by our experienced education and curatorial staff ensures that Education Fellows leave the program with extensive experience teaching and programming for a variety of audiences, and with a completed professional teaching portfolio.<\/p>\n
Program alumni have pursued careers at such cultural institutions as the Denver Art Museum; Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art, Qatar; Metropolitan Museum of Art; National Museum of the American Indian; New Museum; and Queens Museum of Art, as well as the New York City Department of Education and the School District of Philadelphia.<\/p>\n
Salary:<\/b>\u00a0Full-time, with a salary of $22,050 (subject to payroll taxes), plus benefits<\/p>\n
Start and end dates:<\/b>\u00a0The Fellowship is ten months long, running from September 8, 2020, to June 17, 2021, and is open to individuals who\u00a0have recently completed undergraduate or graduate studies.<\/p>\n
