O objetivo do projeto \u00e9 fortalecer os Yanomami em defesa da terra. Eles est\u00e3o tentando defender suas comunidades de garimpeiros, madeireiros e fazendeiros. Para fazer isso, a Hutukara Associa\u00e7\u00e3o Yanomami (HAY) tem convidado parceiros para ajudar com a instala\u00e7\u00e3o e reparos de r\u00e1dios, baterias, e placas solares. Seus parceiros e doadores incluem Cl\u00e1udia Andujar, Galeria Vermelha, a embaixada da Noruega, o Distrito Sanit\u00e1rio Yanomami e Ye\u2019kuana, a comunidade Pewau, e a Associa\u00e7\u00e3o dos Ninan do Estado de Roraima. O projeto come\u00e7ou em 2012 e ainda precisa de mais 30 r\u00e1dios para conseguir sua meta. Al\u00e9m da instala\u00e7\u00e3o, tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 necess\u00e1rio ensinar as pessoas nas comunidades que receberam os r\u00e1dios como que se usam. Para isso, HAY trabalhou com as pesquisadoras Let\u00edcia Leite, Mar\u00edlia Senlle, e L\u00eddia Montanha do Instituto Socioambiental (ISA) e Alan Azevedo, um jornalista.
