A professor of art at Williams College since 1985, Takenaga divides her time between Williamstown, MA, and New York City.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\">Already an experienced printmaker, Takenaga collaborated with master intaglio printer Peter Pettengill on two variations of a single composition: a swirling pattern of dots and lines that simultaneously evoke the cosmos and microscopic forms of life. Printed in silver metallic and deep purple, these complex abstractions sparkle with life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\">Barbara Takenaga.
