About the Project Coach Graduate Fellowship:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Project Coach (PC) Graduate Fellowship in Teaching or Exercise & Sport Science is designed to prepare aspiring educators and coaches through firsthand experience in mentorship and sports-based youth development. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

PC Graduate Fellows work closely with our teen coaches by helping them learn, practice and apply the central skills of high-level coaching. By using sport as a platform, Project Coach strives to support teens as they develop into successful students, leaders and change agents in their communities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fellows receive academic-year tuition waivers equal to the cost of their graduate programs.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

PC Weekly Fellowship Schedule:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u2605 Project Coach Leadership Academy at Smith College on Monday evenings 
\u2605 Weekly fellowship meetings 
\u2605 After-school programming in Springfield, MA (1-2 days per week) 
\u2605 Some weekend programming days will be required throughout the year<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fellowship Requirements:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

PC Fellows work toward their MAT degree or MS in exercise and sport studies by attending Smith College classes and working 6\u20138 hours per week as an assistant in Project Coach, which will link them with youth in Springfield, Massachusetts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2-Step Application Process<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  1. Choose Your Program<\/strong>: Begin by applying and being accepted to your chosen Smith College graduate program, either the Master of Arts in Teaching<\/a> (MAT) or the Master of Exercise & Sport Studies<\/a> (ESS).

  2. Complete the Supplemental Application<\/strong>: Within your graduate program application, locate and complete the PC Fellowship Supplemental Application.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    All application material must be submitted to the Smith Graduate Program. <\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n
