Rhonda serves as a support for students through the residency.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Such intense work often raises spiritual questions. As a chaplain, Rhonda serves students of all faiths, doing interfaith spiritual counseling, having meals with students, and offering meditation classes. She also feels called to \u201clighten the spirit\u201d with activities of holy fun.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.smith.edu\/religious-spiritual-life\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/126\/2018\/07\/dogs.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-1573\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.smith.edu\/religious-spiritual-life\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/126\/2018\/07\/dogs.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"207\" height=\"190\" \/><\/a>On <strong>June 26<\/strong>, the SSW held its 4th Annual <strong>Make Your Own Sundae Day<\/strong>, with the program&#8217;s deans serving the students ice cream.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Tuesday, <strong>July 24<\/strong> from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. will be <strong>Pet-a-Pet Day<\/strong>, where staff members and volunteers bring their pets for some up-close love with students.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The 4th Annual <strong>Bubble Day<\/strong> on <strong>July 31<\/strong>: from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Rhonda and staff members hand out bubble solution and Rhonda encourages them to blow bubbles&#8230;even in class.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Becoming a therapist is a long and arduous process. One considers oneself a beginner for at least five years. To gain mastery takes ten years or more. As a balance to the weight of clinician training, Rhonda offers <strong>Three Minute Mastery<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">On <strong>August 7<\/strong>, Rhonda will bring a bag full of ukuleles to the entrance of Seelye Hall, hand them out, teach one chord and have an instant ukulele orchestra playing \u201cRow, Row, Row Your Boat.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The partners of students who support SSW students have to make life changes during the course of the program. It is not easy.
