In the above document, acquired from a postwar archive, we find specific information about Lotte’s mother’s fate. In the first line, we see her Czech name, Mark\u00e9ta Wotitzk\u00e1, and her birthdate, January 15th, 1890. In the next line, we learn that she was deported from Prague to Theresienstadt on transport number AAt on July 23rd, 1942. The following line states that\u00a0she was deported from Theresienstadt to Maly Trostinec, a death camp on the outskirts of Minsk, on August 25th, 1942 on transport Bc. In the fourth line, we learn that the transport arrived in Maly Trostinec on that same day.
