The Adam Society, a “non-profit support group for female-to-male crossdressers, transsexuals, and their significant others” [2], is one of many of the period. These support groups served as resources for those interested in gender transition in the absence of the internet and published information. They could provide personal narratives, reading lists, or offer books, booklets, pamphlets, and other hard to find printed resources.
