Political statements in response to forms of oppression sometimes took the form of buttons, like this one. The statement on the pin can be interpreted as a response to the societal concern that medical transition, particularly hormones, would change someone for the worse. Statements like this one take that kind of concern and say “No, don’t you see? I know how this changes me, and I’m better for it.”
