The following documents are from the original unionization drive and strike for recognition in 1990. The most exciting document from this portion is a full list of demands, which provides useful historical information as to the grievances of the union at the time of organization. Other interesting documents include a flyer with handwritten notes and a song sheet, both of which provide a more personal touch and help to bridge the 30 year history gap. Other documents to garner support from faculty and undergrads, demonstrating that the union needed support from all areas of campus. This is not surprising that the unionization effort was a multi-year process, and that a successful picket, as was held in 1990 needs support.<\/p>\n
