The trip is described in an article in the Sophian on September 26th of the same year. Ms. Gwendolyn Carter, Professor of Government, led the trip, saying that Africa was an interesting place to study as one of \u201cthe last strongholds of colonialism.\u201d The excursion featured visits to diamond mines and gold fields, as well as a rhinoceros hunt.
