The panel consisted of Smith government professor Ramon Ruiz, and three students each there representing the experiences of various peoples. The students were UMass grad student Obi Bwerinofa from Southern Rhodesia, fellow UMass grad student Hatem Husseini for the Middle East, and Calvin Ward of Amherst College representing the US. Professor Ruiz spoke about Latin America.
