Brown-out held in response to racist incidents in Cutter House<\/p>\n

Nosotras organized a brown-out upon discovering that Latina residents of Cutter House had been the victims of racially harassing comments and discrimination from both housemates and the Cutter House Resident Coordinator. Originally, the brown-out\u2014a gathering of students of color intending to make their presence and voices known\u2014was going to be just for Nosotras members. However, after they met with other students in Ziskind and heard about other struggles with racism on campus, they extended an invitation to all women of color on campus to join them. The brown-out was scheduled for 5:40 p.m. in the Cutter\/Ziskind dining hall.<\/i><\/p>\n
