It had 248 student signatures as of May 26th. The letter, in the wake of Lagarde\u2019s withdrawal, discussed that Lagarde was not entirely the problem, but rather the values of the administration that allowed her to be chosen. It went on to say that the school\u2019s praise of Lagarde\u2019s accomplishments perpetuated a campus climate that rewarded white women\u2019s success at the expense of women of color.
