Their gathering was the first meeting of the Women of Color Queer-Friendly Tea, which was sponsored by the Asian Students\u2019 Association (ASA). When doing a workshop focused on queer Asian Americans during that year\u2019s Otelia Cromwell Day, ASA members heard feedback that both the Lesbian-Bisexual Alliance (LBA) and Unity organizations were not addressing the needs of queer students of color.
