This image shows a blackout poetry piece created on a page of Mary Shelley’s “Frankenstein”. The margins have been decorated with blue and white polka dot tape, creating a boarder around the text block. Images of purple flowers are pasted onto opposite corners of the page. The original text is predominantly obscured with teal marker. Select words and phrases have been left uncovered, creating a new poetic message against the blue background.
