Submissions for the 2024–2025 publication
are now open!
- We are seeking papers and translations written by:
- Current undergraduate students.
- Authors who earned their undergraduate degree in the past two years and who are not enrolled in any graduate program.
- Paper submissions should be 1,500–8,000 words in length.
- Submissions should pertain to the time period between approx. 400 CE–1500 CE.
- Submissions must not be published in another journal.
- All submissions should be cited in Chicago format.
- Submissions in languages other than English accepted and encouraged.
- We also accept translations of medieval documents accompanied by a 200–500 word translator’s note.
- We are seeking book reviews between 500 and 1,500 words. Contact us if you are interested in writing a review but need help locating a proper book (must be issued by an academic publisher in the last 5 years).
- Submissions can be written for a course assignment.
- We hope to expose our readers to the geographically, culturally, and socially diverse reality of the Middle Ages, and we are always looking for work that seeks to diversify the field in any way.
