Drop-in sessions, no need to register.

This is a quick (½ hour) presentation mode introduction to what Zoom is and how to use it. Each session will cover how to:

  • join a meeting
  • schedule a meeting
  • start and control a meeting
  • manage participants
  • record a meeting

This is an hour-long, hands-on session to give you some practice using Zoom. Click the dates below and follow the instructions to join a session. We will be recording the sessions for future use. Each session will cover how to:

Webinars with Zoom

Drop-in online or in person, no need to register.

Location: Smith Media Studios: Henshaw D, Rm. 210

This is an hour-long, hands-on session to give you some practice using Zoom’s Webinar feature. Webinars are the online equivalent of a lecture. An individual (or small group of presenters) share content with potentially hundreds of participants. The session will cover how to:

  • join a webinar
  • schedule a webinar
  • assign presenters
  • start and control a webinar
  • manage webinar content, presenters and participants
  • record a webinar

Web/Video conferencing with Zoom for Instructors

Using Zoom for Wireless Projection

Location: Sherrerd Center, Seelye Hall B8

This is a quick (½ hour), hands-on demonstration of projecting wirelessly from any device via Zoom. This methodology is currently being tested at Smith and can allow wireless sharing of content in any classroom.

The session will cover how to:

  • start a Zoom meeting on a computer connected to the TV or projection system
  • join that meeting from any other device in the classroom
  • share your screen
