Welcome to the Smith College Libraries Virtual Scavenger Hunt. This site was created as an interactive experience and to promote accessibility for the Fall 2019 new student orientation at Smith College.

Heads of New Students (HONS) will organize their house’s first year students into groups and then lead them on a scavenger hunt across all four Libraries stops on campus: Hillyer Art Library, Josten Performing Arts Library, and Young Library/Special Collections. The Libraries also has a virtual tour on this website. Some of the answers can only be found here!

• Each group will receive a scavenger hunt checklist.
•  To complete the checklist, each group must answer all the corresponding questions about each Libraries stop correctly. Don’t forget to check the virtual tour.
• Bring the checklist to any library service desk, and a Libraries staff member will check the group’s answers.
• If the answers are correct, the group will receive a stamp.
• After the group has collected all four stamps, the checklist is completed – bring it to any Smith College library and every member of the group will receive a prize!

Technical Requirements: To access the tours, you must have an Internet-enabled device with an up-to-date version of a major web browser. Each of the Libraries is fully equipped with desktop and/or laptop computers that students can log in to and use to view the virtual tours. We do not fully support access with mobile devices.
