Historical textiles offer us so much information about the past, and through tactile engagement it can offer museum visitors an educational experience that goes beyond the typical museum visit. Learning about historical clothing allows visitors to engage deeply with the past, while keeping them connected to the present, as it puts clothing, which we all interact with on a daily basis, in a new light to allow visitors to consider their own engagement with textile garments.
