My project explores three prominent subregions of the United States South Atlantic. As the audience journeys through the Tidewater, Lowcountry, and Appalachian subregions, they are met with a myriad of objects and stories that connect them to the diverse peoples of these states. The intention of my work is to encourage interest and excitement when discussing elements of Southern culture, ensuring that people from these states feel represented while also allowing those previously unfamiliar with these places to become more invested in them.
