This project is based on the work myself and several other students are doing as Research Assistants for the Classics Department. Professor Rebecca Worsham is overseeing the project, while Tara Gadoury AC ’23 and I are working together on the antiquities and Camilla Lashbrook ’23 and Alice Tan ’25 are working with the coin collection. Additionally, retired professor Scott Bradbury has worked with the collection for years and has put hundreds of hours into updating and maintaining it. I would also like to thank Carrie Evans, Five College Database Coordinator, for sharing her advice and resources to help me with this project. This work would not be possible without their research and expertise. Our – meaning everyone who has worked with the Van Buren collection so far — ultimate goal is to make this valuable collection more accessible to students and staff.
