Instructions:
Watch the TED Talk “The Danger of a Single Story.” Discuss. Introduce the idea that that there are many stories we can tell about ourselves, and that our stories are always evolving. There are also stories that have been told about each of us that we believe are the wrong stories, but we have the power to tell different stories to ourselves and others. Students make notes about a story that has been told about them that is the wrong story, or that is only part of a larger story. Share stories in a pair or small group.
