This letter was written to Lotte by Ernest in 1943:
My Gold:
I am happy that you feel better and hope we will see each other outside. How did you like the soup? At noon I went to Mrs. Wiener; she gave me a letter. All are sending you regards. Tomorrow I am distributing lunch and dinner, and after 5:30PM we have an important meeting, so I don’t know when I will be able to come, but be sure, my angel, that I won’t forget you.
For today, a thousand kisses,
Your Arnost
Do you need more bread?
