Enclosed you will find the last greeting from the railroad station from your mother. She was in good spirits and had a good seat.

Last letter from Lotte’s mother, Greta, written to her on while sitting on the train that would take her to her death. Lotte’s handwritten note suggests that it was written in the middle of the night on August 24th, 1942.
