Macaroons

1/2 lb almond paste

2/3 cup powder sugar

white of 4 large eggs

Break up almond paste with a fork, add p. sugar and mix till paste is phlioesized [phyllo-sized]

Beat whites of egg thoroughly and mix with almond paste & sugar

Drop by tspoonfuls on greased paper spread on baking pans and bake 20 min in a moderate oven
