1 baked 9″ pie shell
2 1/2 sq. unsweetened choc.
1 c. honey
2 1/3 c. milk
3 eggs, separated
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
3 tbsp. white corn syrup
Melt choc. in double boiler, add honey & flour which have been sifted together & blend.
Add milk gradually & cook over boiling water until thick, stirring constantly.
Cover & cook for 10 min longer, then pour choc mixture gradually over slightly beaten egg yolks while stirring.
Return to double boiler & cook 5 mins longer.
Remove from heat & add salt, butter & vanilla.
Cool.
Pour into shell & top with meringue made by beating egg whites until stiff & add gradually corn syrup.
300° for 30 min.
