1 cup of sugar
Small piece of butter
Yolk of one egg
Put 1/4 cake of chocolate in 1/2 cup of boiling water and boil to smooth paste.
1 1/2 cups flour sifted with 1 heaping teaspoon of baking powder
Icing
1 cup of sugar
1/4 cup of water and Karo syrup
Boil until it strings.
Beat awhile before adding the egg.
White of 1 egg
Beat white into the syrup.
