“When we visited the Lyman Plant house, Jimmy and Lily drew our attention to the many kinds of leaves and their shapes. I immediately noticed and was drawn to the heart-shaped or cordate leaves because of the surprising ‘perfection’ I saw there. I created a reed sculpture that mimics that shape in order.”
