US National Student Association’s (USNSA) official statement on South Africa is published
Beck Parker, a Smithie and member of the NSA, submitted the association’s official position on South Africa’s educational policy to the Sophian, where it was published. She noted in a disclaimer above the statement that Smithies has supported USNSA petitions in February of 1957, and encouraged the student body to donate to the African Medical Scholarships Trust Fund.
